Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I was shopping at the local supermarket. The store was crowded and the lines were all very long. Seeing how I was only purchasing one item, I went up to the customer service desk where there was only one customer ahead of me in line.
The customer in front of me was in a motorized wheel chair, and she needed to have her items double bagged so that they could hang off of the back of her chair without breaking. Within 20 seconds there formed a line behind me for the customer service desk. The customer in the wheel chair, after checking out was unable to put her change in her wallet due to her disease, you could see that she was sending the message from her brain to tell her hands what to do, but they were not cooperating.
I could sense that the people behind me were getting frustrated with how long it was taking for this customer to wrap things up. They were not able to see how hard she was working just to put some change away in a wallet. The customer service rep was able to assist her and she was able to roll away to her next challenge for the day.
I wonder how many people in line behind me were thinking about how much this extra 45 seconds in line was such an inconvenience, and how many of them never thought about how darn lucky they were not to be the person in the wheel chair facing those challenges.
We can all be the happiest and most grateful people in the world, all we need to do is shift our awareness. If you can read this post, that means that you have your eyesight. What would that be worth to you if you lost it? Is there any price you wouldn't pay to get it back?
Start your day by counting all the blessings that you have and having gratitude for them. You are incredibly blessed, and your life is going to be a lot happier as soon as you make the shift to gratitude!
Choose Gratitude, and Be Happy!
